YOUTHREACH CASTLEBLAYNEY
Castleblayney Youthreach was established as a full-time Youthreach Education and Training Programme in October 2003. Prior to this a part-time Youthreach programme operated funded under the Back to Education Initiative. This initial programme saw a demand and need for a full time programme in South Monaghan.
Castleblayney Youthreach is situated on the Monaghan Road in Castleblayney.
Our programme consists of a range of FETAC Level three and Level four modules. The breath and balance of the programme meets the diverse developmental needs of each trainee, ensuring they reach their full potential and progress into the workplace or further education. The programme offers a learning opportunity which support and promote the personal and social development of young people. Central to that is the quality of staff’s working relationship with young people and the consequent influence on their learning and development. This brings about an environment based on trust, respect, and individuality thus promoting confidence in young people.
Other Developments taking place in Youthreach:
- Castleblayney Youthreach programme and services were agreed and approved by FETAC in 2006 and received it’s Quality Assurance Agreement.
- Castleblayney Youthreach has begun implementing the Quality Framework Initiative which includes reviewing and evaluating practice and continually working towards improvements in order to meet the needs of learners, staff and management.
- Youthreach are now inspected by the DES Inspectorate – Reports on Centres already inspected can be obtained from www.youthreach.ie and www.sttc.ie
